Abstract

The Venetian Lagoon is the largest in the Mediterranean,

an important wetland for biodiversity conservation. Its co-evolution with the needs of society makes it a typical product of the Anthropocene. Accurate scientific knowledge of natural dynamics forms the foundation for its sustainable management.
