Frank Gotthardt, founder of CompuGroup Medical, a world leader company in the eHealth sector, is the creator and entrepreneur of MARE Technopark, the campus that will be born on the Lido of Venice with the aim to create a center for cooperative research in the field of artificial intelligence for healthcare.
The birth of MARE Technopark, thanks to the project of Arch. Alberto Torsello will transform the headquarters of the historic Ospedale al Mare, over 48,000 square meters, into a center for more than 900 researchers and professionals, equipped with residential facilities for over 600 people.
The redeveloped area aims to become a technological hub capable of attracting talent, investments and companies, encouraging collaboration between universities, researchers, start-ups and companies from all over the world. The campus will have zero local emissions of climate-changing gases with maximum energy efficiency characteristics thanks to closed-circuit systems powered by geothermal and photovoltaic sources and no source of technological noise in the neighborhood.
This initiative will create new qualified jobs and will substantially contribute to affirming Venice’s role as a center of excellence in international health innovation.
